Activities Coordinator's Message
Dear Students and Families,
2nd SEMESTER CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAM
With new creative innovations such as “Speak French through Songs and Games,” “3D Designs,” “Decoration with Embroidery,” “Table Tennis,” “Fun Dancing and More” in elementary, and “Anime (Japanese Animation) Projects,” “Cuatro Classes,” and “Modeling United Nations” debates in secondary, the teachers have enthusiastically started the second semester Co-curricular Program.
We are proud of all of our traditional, fundamental sports, art, and academic activities, and especially, our “Spectrum / Arcoiris Literary Magazine” in which the students unloose their creativity in language arts. Also, our “Green Planet & Recycling Club” and our college – valued Community Service Program, where our students have the magnificent opportunity to make a difference by contributing generously with their time in different ways, such as:
A) INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY SERVICE:
From the summer until the following May, the students can contribute with activities that they especially enjoy doing on their own, for example: teaching, playing games or music to children and/or elderly people for free; recording or videotaping kids singing or acting; doing some errands to the elderly or handicapped people, etc.
B) CREATIVITY, ACTION, LEADERSHIP, AND SERVICE AT CIC:
Helping teachers with school organization work, being a new comer buddy, cooperating with Recycling Club, performing drives, leadership in class activities and projects, running in the Charity Road Race, doing translations at parents meetings, yearbook work and literary magazine, setting up and organization of Halloween, Christmas Bazaar, Talent Show, musical dramas and concerts, International Day, Art Show, Semana del Idioma, graduation, etc.
C) CIC ORGANIZED SERVICE ON WEEKENDS:
This involves enthusiastic service. How? By being a joyful, dynamic actor on our Saturday outings.
Consistent attendance to the Co-curricular Program is vital for our children to acquire a myriad of invaluable skills for their future. Enjoy yourselves!
