August, 2011
Greetings upon the start of CIC’s 57th year of operation!
It is our pleasure to contact all of you to update you on the successful beginning of the 2011-2012 school year three weeks into the beginning of classes.
A total of 86 teachers, including 17 new ones, completed orientation week and charged their batteries to receive our 436 students divided in two sections all the way from Early Childhood to Grade 12, with an average of 16 students per class.
Our highly academic program is balanced by all kinds of sports, technology and cultural activities which form rounded citizens of the world that make us proud. One example is our Omar Rachid, Class of 2007, who recently graduated from Rollins College in Florida and was awarded the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Medallion “which is the highest non-academic award the College bestows on an Arts and Science student who shows remarkable character and integrity and who demonstrates a commitment to service to others.” Please follow this link to read more about Omar’s accomplishments: http://r-net.rollins.edu/news/2011/05/rachid-awarded-algernon-sydney-sullivan-medallion.html
This is the mission of our school “to develop young men and women of character through an international college-preparatory program, in English, based on high intellectual and moral standards.”
