Secondary CIC Clubs and Organizations
Secondary students can participate in the following:
- National Honor Society: students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 who are selected for scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
- National Junior Honor Society: same as above for students in Grades 7, 8, and 9.
- Model United Nations: A program that gives Secondary students an opportunity to learn firsthand about the United Nations and its role in world affairs. Participants research countries, explore international issues, and develop solutions to world problems.
- Intramural and Interscholastic Athletic competition: a regular after school sports program is provided for both boys and girls. Competition with other schools is held in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and softball.
- Student Council and Class Officers: students in Grades 6-12 who are elected to student leadership positions. (Please see the next section)
- Community Service Organization: students help local orphanages and other charitable groups.
- Choir: Secondary school participants are involved in several important annual functions.
NOTE: Students who hold leadership positions in one of CIC’s clubs or organizations must maintain above-average academic grades as well as Effort, Conduct, and Language Usage marks. Also, they must not have any disciplinary incidences while in office. Students who fall short of this expectation may be dismissed from their leadership role or, based on severity of the incident, from the club/organization itself.
