Curriculum

Classes in grades nursery through five are self-contained. Specialists give classes in Special Needs, Art, Music, Library, Physical Education, English as a Second Language, Spanish, and Computer Science.

CIC offers an accredited curriculum (with electives) through grade twelve. Courses offered in grades six to twelve include the following:

• English: Language Arts and Literature, English as a Second Language and Library Practice.
• Social Studies: Geography, History, Economics, Psychology and Western Civilization.
• Mathematics: Arithmetic, Basic Math, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-calculus, Calculus and Computer Science.
• Science: Introduction to Science, Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Environmental Science.
• Modern Languages: Spanish and French.
• Technology: Publications, Graphic Design and Digital Video.
• Physical Education: Health and Hygiene, Sports and Recreation.
• Fine Arts: Studio Art, Music, Choir, and Drama.
